while sliding the object possess a fore which reduces the friction

friction is due to interlocking of irregularities on the two surfaces in contact when the object starts sliding the contact points doesn't get enough time to get interlock to the floor and in static friction the objects r already interlocked so the sliding friction is lessthan static friction
