When  a  substance  undergoes  a  change  of  state  when  it  is  heated,  the  heat  is  absorbed  by  the  particles  of  that  substance.  This  is  called  latent  heat,  and  it  is  because  of  this  process  that  the  temperature  do  not  rise  at  all.

It is the latent heat of fusion therefore there is no rise in temperature
