Development for one may not be the development for another because in countries like India, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poor.

Many industrialists from India are part of the richest people in the world; however there are many more who cannot afford one time meal in India.

in a village a builder wants to build a dam so that it could provide water to fields, but a farmer living there would not support this as building this dam would take their land and they would be homeless.

consider narmada valley project.for some people building dams there was an advantage or it was good for them , but the people residing near very against it,as it would displace their livelihood.

Multinational Companies are taking away land from poor farmers to build their industries. It is development for the company but is destruction for the poor farmers

in the case of the Sardar Sarovar Dam being built over river Narmada where the tribes are being forced to evacuate their villages. The dam being built i s development for the country but is a destruction for the tribes.

Thus, development for one may not be development for other
