There are different sectors in an economy. Those sectors are the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors.

The primary sector of the economy is related to the production of the goods which are related to the extraction of material. For example, coal mining, fishing and agriculture, growing of goods, targeting their core area, that is the foremost sector.

The secondary sector is the one in which the manufacturing of goods take place, like food industry, making cakes, creating and assembling cars, manufacturing them.

The third or last sector is the tertiary sector, which is related to the provision of services provided in an economy, like, Banking sector.

All these sectors are related, because they are related to the production phase in an economy. They are the utilization of resources in the most accurate manner.
