hala mate,
An electric bell has a coil of insulated copper wire on a form made of several laminations of iron which constitutes an electromagnet. When the doorbell is pressed, as one example, it completes a circuit through that coil and a poser source such as a 24 volt transformer or a battery. The current produces a strong magnetic field in the electromagnet and attracts a moveable arm normally held away from it by a spring When the arm moves, it operates a contact to break the circuit, so the spring moves back to its rest position, but that completes the circuit, so the cycle repeats until the doorbell is released. The bell is struck by the moveable arm each time the arm moves.
hope it helps!!!
