Explanation letter for absence due to important matter to attend?

                                      I'am XXXX of your class i was absent on that day when the important class was their but on that day suddenly my father got a call that my grany is serious and she is in I.C.U. so unfortunately we have to go their that's the reason i was not able to attend the important class so please excuse  me for not attending the class.
