In cold deserts , there is water scarcity and water also freezes so there also they don't get water. In hot deserts there is scarce if water.so people have to wander in search of water which is present in oasis

Thar desert is one of the oldest deserts in India which ranks 17th among world's largest deserts. It forms a boundary between these two countries Pakistan and India whose maximum part lies in Rajasthan.

Prior to the formation of Thar desert, it was covered with alluvial plain. This alluvial plain and the adjacent coasts provided huge amount of sediments that resulted in the formation of sand dunes. The wind carried the sand particles along with it and hence it resulted in the formation of desert.
