Answer:

28 days

Step-by-step explanation:

George can finish a certain job in 30 days.

George can do a part of work in 1 day =\frac{1}{30}

Mark can finish the same job in 45 days.

Mark can do a part of work in 1 day =\frac{1}{45}

Together they can do a part of work in 1 day = \frac{1}{30}+\frac{1}{45}

                                                                           = \frac{1}{18}

So, they can do  \frac{1}{18} in days = 1

They can do whole work in days  = \frac{1}{\frac{1}{18}}=18

Since we are given that mark did not work for 15 days.

So, they did total work together for 18-15 = 3 days

Together they can do a part of work in 1 day = \frac{1}{18}

Together they can do a part of work in 3 days = \frac{1}{18} \times 3 =\frac{1}{6}

Remaining work = 1- \frac{1}{6}= \frac{5}{6}

Remaining work is done by George

George can do whole work in 30 day

So, he can do \frac{5}{6} work in days = \frac{5}{6} \times 30 = 25 days

So, total work is done in days = 25+3=28 days

Hence the total number of days the entire work was complete in 28 days
