Each sporocarp is an oval or bean shaped biconvex, flattened structure. It is green and soft when it is young but at maturity it becomes very hard and brown in colour. It is made up of a short stalk like structure known as peduncle and the body. The point of attachment of peduncle with the body is called raphe .
