Given :-

x + y = 45

x - y = 11

To Find :-

Ratio

Solution :-

x + y = 45 (i)

x - y = 11 (ii)

On adding

x + y + x - y = 45 + 11

2x = 56

x = 56/2

x = 28

Using 1

x + y = 45

28 + y = 45

y = 45 - 28

y = 17

Ratio

x : y

28 : 17
