solve the equation (x² -5x) ² -30 (x² -5x) -216=0?

What is the best course to learn electric vehicle development?

(x^2–5x)^2 - 30(x^2–5x) - 216 = 0 …(1)

Put x^2–5x = m. Then (1) becomes

m^2–30m-216=0

(m-36)(m+6) = 0

So, m = 36 or -6

x^2–5x= 36, or

x^2–5x-36=0

(x-9)(x+4) = 0. Hence x = 9 or -4

Again x^2–5x=-6, or

x^2–5x+6=0, or

(x-3)(x-2) = 0. Hence x = 3 or 2

The four values of x are: -4, 2, 3 and 9. Answer.
