Given :

4(2a-3)³ - 3(2a-3)(a-1) - 7(a-1)²

To Find :

To factorize the given equation

Solution :

4 (2a - 3)² - 3 (2a - 3) (a - 1) - 7 (a - 1)²

Let ,

  • 2a - 3 = x
  • a - 1 = y

Equation becomes ,

⇒ 4x² - 3xy - 7y²

Use middle term splitting method ,

⇒ 4x² + 4xy - 7xy - 7y²

⇒ 4x ( x + y ) - 7y ( x + y )

⇒ ( 4x - 7y ) ( x + y )  \orange{\bigstar}

Sub. x and y values ,

⇒ [4(2a - 3) - 7(a - 1)] [(2a - 3) + (a - 1)]  \pink{\bigstar}
