Given : (x²  - 26x + 13 ) ÷ ( x- 13)

To Find : Factorise the expression and divide

Solution:

(x²  - 26x + 13 ) ÷ ( x- 13)

= (x - 13)² ÷ ( x- 13)

= (x - 13)

Factorization can be done using either middle split

-26x = -13x - 13x

or using (a - b)² formula

where a = x

b = 13

Solution :-

→ (x² -26x + 169) ÷ (x - 13)

factorising the expression first,

→ x² - 13x - 13x + 169

→ x(x - 13) - 13(x - 13)

→ (x - 13)(x - 13)

now,

→ (x - 13)(x - 13) ÷ (x - 13)

(x - 13) (ANS.)
