x^2 - 3x + 2 = 0

x^2 -2x -x + 2= 0

x(x-2) - 1(x-2) = 0

(x-1)(x-2) = 0

x = 1 , 2

a^2 +19a - 20 = 0

a^2 + 20a - a - 20 = 0

a(a+20) - 1(a+20) = 0

(a-1)(a+20) = 0

a = 1 , -20

as26125: we have to factorise this

x2-3x+2

x2-2x-x+2

x(x-2)-1(x-2)

(x-2)(x-1)

a2+19a-20

a2+20a-a-20

a(a+20)-1(a+20]

(a-1)(a+20)

as26125: thanks
