for example if 1 is the root then one factor is x-1
now write the coefficients of the polynomial
like in the above i have written 1,-3,-9,-5
put 0 below 1 and add it
multiply the answer to -1(in this case) and write it below second number
again add it and multiply with -1
when you add the last number you will get zero
with the sum you got write them as coefficients of a quadratic equation
solve the equation and you will get other two factors
