= x² + ( 1/x² ) + 1
= x² + ( 1/x² ) + 2 - 1
= { x² + ( 1/x² ) + 2 } - 1
= { x + ( 1/x )}² - 1²
= { x + ( 1/x ) + 1 } { x + ( 1/x ) - 1 }.
