Solution:

Given (x²-4x)(x²-4x+1)-20

Let -4x = a ---(1)

now it becomes,

= a(a+1)-20

=+a-20

Splitting the middle term, we get

= +5a-4a-20

= a(a+5)-4(a+5)

=(a+5)(a-4)

=(-4x+5)(-4x-4) /* from (1)*/
