Question :-

 {y}^{2} + 5y + 6

How to find it ?

=> we can find it by factor theorem and also by splitting method .

  • Using the splitting method :-

 {y}^{2} + 5y + 6

 = {y}^{2} + 3y + 2y + 6

 = y(y + 3) + 2(y + 3)

 = (y + 3)(y + 2)

  • now , using the factor theorem .

p(x) = {y}^{2} + 5y + 6

now putting the value of y as zero we have to find the answer .

p(0) = {0}^{2} + 5 \times 0 + 6

p(0) = 0 + 0 + 6

p(0) = 6

0 \: is \: not \: equal \: to \: 6
