12x²-x-6
using splitting the middle term ,
=> 12x²-9x+8x-6
(why ? => in a quadratic equation ax²+bx+c , where a,b,c could be any real numbers
in this equation too its the same thing
to split the mid term , we need to note that the two numbers we are splitting it into , their sum must be equal to that of mid term and product must be equal to the product of first and last term )
=> 3x(4x-3)+2(4x-3)
=> (4x-3)(3x+2)
hope this helps
