Steps of doing this question

  • Check discriminant(D) is greater than 0 ,equal to 0 or lesser than 0
  • Discriminant=b^2-4ac
  • if discriminant (D) is greater than 0 then real root exist,if D is lesser than 0 than no real roots exist and if D is equal to 0 than equal roots exist
  • In 1st part real roots exist as D is greater than 0
  • Use quadratic formula as real roots exist
  • Quadratic formula=-b±√D/2a
  • Simplify it you will find the final answer
  • In 2nd part no real roots exist hence the question will ended
