☺️ Hey mate! here's your answer!☺️

QUESTION = a² - b² - 2b - 1

solution =

we will use the identity,

( a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

so,

a² - b² - 2b - 1

= a² - [ (b)² + 2(1)(b) + (1)² ]

= a² - ( b + 1 )²

then, again another identity will be used,

a² - b² = (a+b)(a-b)

therefore,

= a² - ( b + 1 )²

= (a + b + 1)(a - b - 1) ....Answer!

hope it is helpful ✌️!
