In indirect speech it will become ‘’Father asked Swami whether he had no school that day’’. In the direct speech sentence first part is reporting verb, which is present before comma and rest part of the sentence which is in inverted comma is reported speech. Changing from direct to indirect, comma is removed and reporting verb which is in past tense, so the reported speech which is in interrogative present perfect will convert in to past perfect.
