Fifteen balls are numbered from 1 to 15 and one ball is chosen at random. Find the probability of choosing a ball with: a) 2-digit number b) number divisible by 3

Answer :-

a) Possible outcomes of 2 - digit number = 10,11,12,13,14,15

Number of possible outcomes = 6

Total number of outcomes = 15

Probability = 6/15

= 2/5

Probability = 2/5

b) Possible outcomes of number divisible by 3 = 3,6,9,12,15

Number of possible outcome = 5

Total number of outcomes = 15

Probability = 5/15

= 1/3

Probability = 1/3
