Let the number be X
9x-8=2x+6
If we move 2x to other side it becomes -2x
9x-2x-8=6
7x-8=6
If we move-8 to the other side it becomes +8
7x=6+8
x=16/7
9x-8=2x+6

9x-2x-8=6
7x-8=6
If we move-8 to the other side it becomes +8
7x=6+8
x=16/7
