Let the +ve number be x.
According to question,
x+5=50/x
x2 + 5x = 50
x2 + 5x - 50 = 0
x2 + 10x - 5x - 50 = 0
x(x+10) - 5(x+10) = 0
(x-5) (x+10) = 0
(x-5) = 0 ; (x+10) = 0
x= 5 or x= -10
Value of x cannot be -10 as it is given in question that the number is positive, so the required positive number is 5.

According to question,

x2 + 5x - 50 = 0
x2 + 10x - 5x - 50 = 0
x(x+10) - 5(x+10) = 0
(x-5) (x+10) = 0
(x-5) = 0 ; (x+10) = 0
x= 5 or x= -10

Answer:
The x will be 5 and -10
x=5 and x= -10
so as per the question no negative values should be taken so the answer will be 5
So when the number 5 is increased by 5 becomes equal to 50 times of its reciprocal
