The formula is x² -(a+b)x + ab

The polynomial =

 {x}^{2} - (7 + \sqrt{5} + 7 - \sqrt{5} )x + (7 + \sqrt{5} )(7 - \sqrt{5} )

Which is equal to

 {x}^{2} - 14x + 44
