Let us assume that the required consecutive even positive integers be x and x + 2. Then according to the given condition;

→ x > 5 and x + x(x + 2) < 23

→ x > 5 and 2x + 2 < 23

→ x > 5 and 2x < 21

→ 5 < x and 2x/2 < 21/2

→ 5 < x and x < 10.5

→ 5 < x < 10.5

So, x can take the even integral values 6, 8 and 10.

Hence, the required pairs of even integers are (6,8), (8,10) and (10,12)
