Define x:

Let one number be x.

The other number x + 2

Solve x:

Sum is less than 23

x + x + 2 < 23

2x + 2 < 23

2x < 21

x < 10.5

Number must be greater than 5 and the number must be even

So the possible pairs are:

1) 10 and 12

2) 8 and 10

3) 6 and 8

Answer: 10 and 12, 8 and 10, 6 and 8
