AIM- to show that liquids have fixed volume but no fixed shape MATERIALS
REQUIRED-water and various types of beakers PROCEDURE-
put some water in  a beaker and mark where it reaches  then take the water out and put it in other beaker, you will notice that it takes the shape of the other beaker, pour it in other beakers and record that it takes the shape of the other beakers. this shows that liquids TAKE THE SHAPE OF THE CONTAINER then pour the same water again in the original beaker , you will notice that the water reached the same place that is marked. this shows that VOLUME OF LIQUIDS DO NOT CHANGE ON CHANGING THE CONTAINER.

Aim : to show that liquid do not have fixed shape but they have a fixed volume

Materials required : different shaped containers and water

Procedure

1. take some water in a beaker

2. mark the level of the water in the beaker

3. Now pour the water in another container or glass tumbler and note down your observation.

4. Pour the water from tumbler in another conical flask again note your observation.

5. Now pour the water from the flask into flat bottom flask and record your observation.

6. Now pour the water again in the beaker which we used initially.

Observation : when the water is poured into the beaker , the water takes the shape of the Beaker and when it's poured into the glass tumbler it takes the shape of the glass tumbler similarly when it is poured into conical flask and Flat bottom flask it takes the shape of these both containers respectively .W hen the water is poured again from the flat bottom flask into the original week it is observed that water is the beaker upto the same marks which shows that there is no change in the volume of water when it is put into different containers

Conclusion : This experiment shows that Water has no fixed shape as it takes the shape of the container in which it is filled but it has a fixed volume as the volume doesn't changes on changing the container.
