The coefficient of correlation by Karl Pearson's methods:

Step-by-Step Explanation:

X = 15,18,21,24,27,30,36,39,42,48

Y=25,25,27,27,31,33,35,41,41,45

For the given data,

(i) ƩX = 300  and (ii) ƩY =330

(iii) Ʃx² =1080 and (iv) Ʃy² =480

(v) ƩXY =708

(i) The total number of data (N) = 10

X  =  ΣX/N

   =  300/10

   =  30

Y =  ΣY/N

   =  330/10

   =  33

               Σxy

 r    =  --------------------

            √ Σx2 ×√ Σy2

               708

        =  ------------------

         √1080× √480

       =  708/32.86×21.91

       =  708/720

       =  0.983

Therefore, the value of correlation coefficient is 0.983.
