Hello friends.....
How to find tge median of the given data ?
Let's Check it Out.
12, 24, 13, 12, 27, 11, 18, 30, 19, 10, 20 Find the mediadian of this record.
First of all arrange these records in ascending order.
10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 27, 30
Now, apply the formula of median.
We records are in odd numbers.
n= 11 (number of records) => odd.
M = (n+1)/2 th record = (11+1)/2 th record = 12/2 th record = 6th record.
So median will be 18.
If number of records is even then...
12, 24, 13, 12, 27, 11, 18, 30, 19, 10, 20, 15
Arrange these records in ascending order.
10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 15, 18, 19, 20, 24, 27, 30
n = 12 (even)
Now, I Formula for finding the median of even records = {(n/2)th record + (n/2)+1 th record}/2 = {(12/2)th record + (12/2)+1 th record}/2 = {6th record + 7th record}/2 = (15+18)/2 = 33/2 = 16.5
So, median will be 18, because there is no record of 16.5.
Thank you.
