The correct statement is b.

Subsequent to the Anglo - Nepalese war of 1814 - 1816, the Treaty of Sugauli (2 December 1815) signed between the British East India Company and the king of Nepal, established the boundaries of Nepal.

The Treaty was signed by the Raj Guru Gajraj Mishra and Lieutenant Colonel Paris Bradshaw.

Territories were ceded by the Nepalese and permission was given for a British Resident to be stationed at Kathmandu. The Treaty also allowed the British to recruit Gurkhas to their army. However the Nepalese were not allowed to recruit Americans or British nationals to their services.
