2. Vindhyachal Thermal Power Station, Madhya Pradesh

3. Mundra Thermal Power Station located in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

4. Mundra Ultra Mega Power Plant (UMPP), also located in the Kutch district of Gujarat

5. Talcher Super Thermal Power Station or NTPC Talcher Kaniha, located in the Angul district of Odisha





The reason behind the selection or location of these power plants at these places are...that these places are the suitable or best spot for extraction of thermal energy from the Earth's surface... And profitably....
