Answer :

  • A.P : 2, 7, 12 ......
  • First term (a) = 2
  • Common Difference (d) = 5
  • Number of terms (n) = 10

Aₙ = a + (n -1)d

⇒ A₁₀ = 2 + (10 - 1)5

⇒ A₁₀ = 2 + 9(5)

⇒ A₁₀ = 2 + 45

⇒ A₁₀ = 47

Given :–

  1. First term = 2
  2. Second term = 7
  3. Third term = 12

To Find :–

  • Tenth term of the A.P.

Solution :–

First term is always denoted by a.

  • a = 2

Common difference (d) =  a_{2} - a_{1} = a_{3} - a_{2}

d = 7 - 2 = 12 - 7

d = 5 = 5

d = 5

  • d = 5

 \sf {n}^{th} term = a + (n - 1)d

10th term = a + (10 - 1)d

= a + 9d

= (2) + 9(5)

= 2 + 45

= 47.

Hence,

The tenth term of this A.P. is 47.
