The length and breadth of the room are 6 m and 4 m respectively.
∴l = 6 m and b = b m (given)
Here, we are told to find the area of carpet in square meters that is required to cover the floor.
Before that we need to find out the area of floor.
As the length and breadth are given so if we multiply the length with the breadth then we will get the area of floor.
It is because the floor is same as a rectangle .
∴area of floor= l × b unit² = (6 × 4)m² = 24 m²
Now, area of floor is equal to the area of carpet as said in question.
area of floor= area of carpet
24 m² = area of carpet
To cover 1 m² the carpet costs = Rupees 240
∴ To cover 24 m² the carpet costs = Rupees (24×240) = Rupees 5760

sannu9: yaaa its a correct answer
p0r1: Have I been able to satisfy you?
