HI !

Circumference = 2πr

2πr = 44

πr = 22

22/7*r = 22

r = 22*7/22

r = 7 cm

Radius = r = 7 cm

Area of a quadrant = 1/4*πr²
                               = 1/4*22/7*7*7
                               = 38.5 cm²

Heya,

Given:-
Circumference = 44

To find:-
Area of a Quadrant [1/4th of a circle]

Solution:-

Circumference = 2πr

44 = 2 × 22/7 × r

44/2 = 22/7 × r

22 = 22/7 × r

22 × 7/22 = r

7 = r

Area = πr^2

Area of a Quadrant = 1/4 πr^2

Area of a Quadrant = 1/4 × 22/7 × 7

Area of a Quadrant = 1/4 × 22 × 7

Area of a Quadrant = 1/2 × 11 × 7

Area of a Quadrant = 1 × 11 × 3.5

Area of a Quadrant = 38.5cm^2

Hope my answer helps you :)

Shobana
