REQUIRED SOLUTION:

Here in the given figure we can notice that height and base of both the triangles are given and we have to find area of rectangle excluded with area of both the triangles.

So we can write equation as:

Area of shaded region=Area of rectangle-ar of Triangle- area of 2nd triangle.

=> (14×11)-½×11×4-½×11×5

=> 154-22-27.5

=> 104.5

Hence the required area is 104.5cm².
