Find the area of the cardboard required to make an open box of length 28 cm , breadth 50 cm and height 20 cm

hey...

if the box is OPENED then we LSA OF CUBOID should be applied here.

AREA = LSA(area of four walls)+ area of base

AREA= 2 ( l + b ) h + l × b

= 2 ( 28 + 50 ) 20 + 28 × 50

= 2 × 78 × 20 + 28 × 50

= 3120 cm^2. + 1400 cm^2

= 4520cm^2

here's ur answer frnd....

we have to find the area to make a open box. so we will use the formula=CSA+1base

CSA+1base=2h(l+b)+lb

=2×20(28+50)+(28×50)

=40×78+1400

=3120+1400

=4520cm²

hence final answer is 4520cm² of cardboard is required.
