there are 3 triangles without shaded portion.

so find all the values without shaded portion,

by this formula,you'll get the answer.

(i) b and c =1/2×2×10

=10 cm^2

(ii) b and a=1/2×4×7

=14 cm^2

(iii) a and c=1/2×3×6

=9 cm^2

now add these all.

we get= 10+14+9=33 cm^2

now are of rectangle is (l×b)

l=10 cm,b=6 cm

area of rectangle=(l×b)

=10×6

=60 cm^2

now subtract sum of triangles from area of rectangle

60 cm^2 - 33 cm ^2= 27 cm^2

so ,area of shaded portion is 27 cm^2
