side of square =14cm
radius of semicircle= 7cm
Area of shaded region = area of square - area of 2 semicircle
= 14 × 14 - 2×1/2πr2
=196 - 22/7 × 7 ×7
=196 - 22×7
= 196 - 154
=42cm2
