find the area of the shaded region in the figure, where ABCD is a square of side 14cm.............ans step by step .​

given :-

side of the square = 14cm

since, the circle is fully inscribed in the square, the diameter of the circle must be equal to the side of the square.

therefore diameter of the circle = 14cm

➡ it's radius = 14/2 = 7cm (we know that the radius is half the Length of it's diameter)

now, area of the shaded region = area of the square - area of the circle

= (side²) - (πr²)

= (14 × 14) - (22/7 × 7 × 7)

= 196 - 154

= 42cm²

hence, the area of the shaded region is 42cm².
