Find the cost of fencing a rectangular park of length of 175m and breadth 150m at the rate of ₹12 per meter

danoct2004: Length of rectangular park = 175 m
Breadth of rectangular park = 150 m
Perimeter of park = 2 x (length + breadth)
= 2 x (175 + 150)
= 2 x 325 = 650 m
Since, cost of fencing park per meter = = Rs. 12
Therefore, cost of fencing park of 600 m = 12 x 650 = Rs. 7,800

Length of rectangular park = 175 m

Breadth of rectangular park = 125 m

Perimeter of park = 2 x (length + breadth)

= 2 x (175 + 125)

= 2 x 300 = 600 m

Since, cost of fencing park per meter = = Rs. 12

Therefore, cost of fencing park of 600 m = 12 x 600 = Rs. 7,200

Given - Length, breadth and cost

Find - Cost of fencing given rectangular park

Solution - Cost of fencing the rectangular park is ₹7800.

To find the cost of fencing given rectangular park, firstly we will find perimeter of park.

Perimeter of rectangle is given by the formula: 2(l+b). L is length and b is breadth.

So, perimeter of rectangular park = 2(175 + 150)

Perimeter of rectangular park = 2(325)

Perimeter of rectangular park = 650 metres.

Now, cost of fencing the rectangular park = 12*650

Cost of fencing = ₹7800

Thus, cost of fencing the rectangular park is ₹7800.
