curved surface area ,2πrh=2×22/7×7×40=1760. TS A= 2πrh+2πr²=1760+308=2068

Curved surface area of cylinder =2πrh
so...here r = 14/2 cm =7cm.
and ...height= 40cm
now..from formula 2×22/7×7×40
=>1760cm²
and ...Total surface area of cylinder = 2πrh +πr²+πr²
=> 2πr(h+r)
=> 2×22/7×7(40+7)
=> 44×47 =2068 CM² Answer ..
