Formula of SI. is p×r×t/100
here,
p=principal
r=rate
t=time
p=40000
r=9%
t=2years
40000×9×2/100
=7200
Second we find C.I.
But first we find Amount
Formula of amount is A =p(1+r/100)^t
=40000(1+9/100)^2
=40000×1.1881
=47,524
Now,
formula of C.I is
Amount-Principal
47,524-40000
=7524
And then we find difference between of CI and SI
CI-SI
7524- 7200
=324
Hence the difference between of CI and SI is 324
