Given :  Rational numbers

7/15  , 11/20 , 2/5   , 12/25

To Find :  difference between greatest and the smallest rational number

3/20

3/10

10/3

20/3

Solution:

7/15  , 11/20 , 2/5   , 12/25

15 = 3 x 5

20 = 2 x 2 x 5

5 = 5

25 = 5 x 5

LCM = 2 x 2  x 3 x 5 x 5   = 300

7/15  = 140/300

11/20  = 165/300

2/5  = 120/300

12/25 = 144/400

Largest  165/300

Smallest  120/300

Difference = 165/300 - 120/300

= 45/300
