q no 1
A=(7,8) ,B=(-2,3)
AB²=(-2-7)²+(3-8)²=(-9)²+(-5)²=81+25=106
AB= root 106
q no 2
A=(-8,6) B=(2,0)
AB²=(2+8)²+(0-6)²=100+36=136
AB=root 136

Solution :

****************************************
Distance between the points

A(x1,y1), and B(x2,y2) is

AB = √(x2-x1)²+(y2-y1)²

*****************************************

Here ,

i ) A( x1,y1) = (7,8),

B( x2,y2) = (-2,3),

AB = √[(-2-7)²+(3-8)²]

= √(-9)²+(-5)²

= √81+25

= √106

ii ) Let A(-8,6)=(x1,y1),

B(2,0) = (x2,y2)

AB = √[(2+8)² + (0-6)²]

= √(10)²+6²

= √ 100 + 36

= √136
