Hi ,
********************************************
Equation of a line whose x - intercept
= a and y - intercept = b is
x /a + y / b = 1
*****************************************
Now ,
According to the problem given,
a = 6 , b = -4
Required equation is
x / 6 + y / ( -4 ) = 1
x /6 - y/4 = 1
( 2x- 3y ) /12 = 1
2x - 3y = 12
I hope this helps you.
