Find the expression for the area of a triangle whose base is four more than twice the height. Also find its value if height of the trangle is 11cm.

let height = x
hence base = 2x+4

area of the triangle = 1/2*base*height
=1/2*(2x+4)*x

now height = 11cm
base = 26cm

hence area of the triangle = 1/2*26*11
=13*11 = 143cm^2
