Hey !
Here is your answer !!

Given
v = 0
t = 10seconds
a = - 2.5m/s2
To find ----> u = ?
Using the formula
a = v - u / t
-2.5 = 0 - u / 10
- 2.5 × 10 = - u
-25 = - u
u = 25
Therefore initial velocity ( u ) = 25m/s

u = ?
v = 0 (since , after applying brakes it comes at rest)
time = 10s
a = -2.5m/s^2
by the first eq. of motion we know ,
v = u + at
so, u = v-at
= 0 - (-2.5) × 10 m/s
= 0 + 25 m/s
= 25 m/s
hence ,initial velocity = 25 m/s
hope this helps....
