Concept:

LCM is the least common factor of the given numbers i.e. the smallest number of given numbers are divisible by the given numbers by and HCF is the Highest Common factor of the given numbers i.e. the given numbers are divisible by the largest number.

Given:

Numbers 5/18,15/22,25/36.

Find:

We are asked to seek out the LCM.

Solution:

We have,

Numbers 5/18,15/22,25/36.

So,

To find LCM of fractions use the below-mentioned formula,

LCM = (LCM of Numerators)  / (HCF of Denominators)

So,

LCM of numbers (5, 15, 25) = 3 × 5 × 5=  75

Now,

HCF of numbers (18, 22, 36);

18 = 2 × 3 × 3

22 = 2 × 11

36 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

So, HCF of numbers (18, 22, 36) = 2

So,

USing LCM = (LCM of Numerators)  / (HCF of Denominators) ,

LCM = 75/2  or 37.5

Hence we can say that the LCM is 75/2.
